Senior OPS Engineer

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Taking responsibility to plan operations for new equipment from the workshop to the seafloor & back again by working closely with the design team, clients and other contractors;
- Write operations manuals and testing procedures for new equipment;
- Plan, write and execute operator training programmes for new equipment;
- Write specifications for and manage the design and procurement of offshore transport and test equipment;
- Develop maintenance strategies for new equipment by working closely with the design team and third party verification bodies; and
- Participate in the qualification process for new technology by planning, writing test procedures, executing tests and writing up results. Testing from small scale workshop tests to large scale, multi-contractor trials.

Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Knowledge & experience of subsea drilling operations and/or ROV operations preferable but not required;
- Able to work within a relatively young technology development team of different levels and types of experience to deliver a new system subsea in a short space of time;
- Able to take responsibility for own work and the work of others in the team;
- Must be capable of working at all levels from workshop floor to high level planning meetings with clients.

QC Engineer

The QC engineer shall provide QC inspection of purchased products, supplier performance andmanufacturing records. This will also involve hands on technical assembly works and inspection in accordance with engineering instructions.The QC Engineer will work with other members of the engineering team to ensure that a quality product is completed safely and in a timely manner.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks QC, assembly, manufacturing, supplier control, material certification and internal auditing.
- Assist engineers in design/development of customized products of others
- Inspect and test equipment in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Compile and maintain test, assembly and suppliers inspection records
- Maintain plant and equipment to a safe and operational condition.
- Review supplier certification packages.
- Assemble manufacturing records.

Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Ability to read drawings using Pro/E, Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD
- The QC Engineer shall be computer literate
- Ability to organize and efficiently process information
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Fast learner Understanding of basic oilfield manufacturing requirements (materials, processes, pressures, tolerances and certification.)
- Experience in QC, Manufacturing processes, and the assembly/testing of oilfield equipment.
- Familiar with Pressure testing, lifting operations and assembly workshop activities.
- Familiar with dimensional control equipment.
- Auditing skills.

Reporting/Working Relationships:
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Works closely with engineering team and QHSE to develop customized products

Technical Author

The main purpose of the role is to design, create and maintain technical documentation based on our equipment.

Personal Specification:
- Organised
- Pro-active
- Willingness to communicate with and to question people who have the source of information

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Ability to understand a variety of business and technical input information
- Have a good standard of written English; able to write unambiguous information in a reasonably concise style, with attention to detail including spelling and grammar.
- Ability to illustrate and communicate information in a structured and logical manner
- Able to visualise and propose ways of presenting and extending the information to suit the target readers/audience
- Ability to use software tools to advantage

Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 1+ years relevant experience - Basic engineering knowledge (desirable) - Relevant degree or equivalent

Reporting/Working Relationships:
- Reports to the project manager
- Liaise with engineers/designers

Cost & Planning Engineer

Purpose of the Job
- Provide project controls expertise related to the control and management of projects; specifically project planning and scheduling, progress measurement, and cost control and reporting
- Support the project team with all aspects of the project planning and scheduling functions, including management of schedule, development and updating of progress curves, performance curves, and assessment of resources
- Control ongoing project cost and planning status, forecasts, and report on this to the project team

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Create, maintain and report on project schedules
- Collate, track and report project man hours and progress
- Collate, track and report project spend to date and forecast cost to completion
- Provide look ahead/forecasting /EVA
- Reporting to internal and client pre-defined formats
- Assistance with introducing project control process
- Provide input to change control process
- Interfacing with the client
- Interrogate and track supplier cost and schedules
- Ad-hoc support to Project Manager


Experience/Qualifications Required:
- 3+ years project control experience
- Business/Commercial/Engineering degree
- MS Project
- MS Office applications

Reporting/Working Relationships:
- Reporting to the Project Manager and liaising with project and client team
- Regular meetings with client Cost and Planning Engineer and Project Manager

Mechanical Designer

Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products using computer aided design (CAD). May evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability and ensure project completion. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work - Generation of 3D models, drawings, schematics, BOM’s for assemblies, detail part and fabrications - Engineer a customer order - Work directly with customers on order requirements - Layout switch products on customer’s structures - Design and detail mounting brackets as needed - Complete final assembly drawings for field installation - Complete internal paperwork to release order for fabrication - Assist engineers in design/development of customized products of others.

Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Ability to organize and efficiently process information - Attention to detail - Team player - Fast learner Understanding of basic mechanical principles (force, torque, deflection, stress, yield, etc.) - Ability to create drawings/models using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD - 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. - Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. - Familiar with drawing office practise - Familiar with geometric tolerancing and welding symbols to BSEN22553

Senior Mechanical Engineer

To contribute to the successful design, development and commercialisation of all the companies bespoke Subsea Drilling and Decommissioning Equipment. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering activities associated with various product developments as required, and mentoring of junior staff.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Designing mechanical components and systems
- Conducting stress analysis and calculations
- Generating CAD models, drawings and design documentation (layouts, assemblies, detail, BoM)
- Generating procedures (assembly, test, operational) and test reports
- Checking engineering documents
- Performing test build of new equipment and prototype testing
- Advising on the ordering of equipment for new tools and development work
- Participating in design reviews
- Maintaining design files and documentation

Experience/Qualifications Required:
- 5-10 years product design and development experience
- Degree in Mechanical engineering or similar discipline
- 3D CAD software (Ideally Autodesk Inventor)
- Stress analysis and calculation
- Use and understanding of National and International Oilfield Standards
- Project Engineering

Reporting/Working Relationships:
- Reports to Lead Engineer / Project Manager
- Works and interfaces within a multi-disciplinary team
