The Geoprober dual subsea gripping device enables the Geoprober Shut off System ( Geo-SOS ) with a short section of conductor to be run to the sea floor on a 7-5/8" casing with a drill shoe at the bottom.

Circulation through the casing shoe and back through the return lines allows the GeoSOS to be jetted to the sea floor.

The accoustic control system with ROV backup, eleases the subsea gripper and allows the casing to be drilled to the first pressure containing setting depth.

It is cemented in place with returns to the sea floor and dual annular seals are set and tested. In an emergency the casing is severed and the well shut in at the sea floor.


	The Geoprober Drilling System is a new method of establishing the well by jetting in the conductor and drilling and cementing in the surface casing in one trip to the seafloor
