The Geoprober riser system is based on using API 7-5/8" casing 33.7 ppg, with Tenaris MS XT/XC connectors. The riser design carried out by Risertec has been based on the DNV-OS F201 standard for dynamic risers.

The riser tensioners are rated for a maximum load of 350 tons. The normal tension ratio is 1.6. The maximum vessel offset is 5% of the water depth.

The riser design is based on a generic West Africa 1 year swell and surface current of 1m / sec as illustrated.
